Chunky Guacamole


1/2 small onion, chopped
2 Serrano peppers or 2 jalapeno peppers, stems and seeds removed and very finely chopped
1 ripe Roma or plum tomato, very finely chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and very finely chopped
10 sprigs fresh cilantro, chopped
3 ripe, medium-size avocados
Salt to taste
Juice of 1/2 a lime

In a medium-size bowl, mix the finely chopped onion and chilies with the tomato, garlic and cilantro.

Halve the avocados lengthwise, remove the pits and scoop the flesh into the bowl with other ingredients. Mash the avocado into the other ingredients or break up with your hands.

Add salt and lime juice. Set aside for a few minutes to let the flavours blend.
